Is Cherry the same as CareCredit?
No. Cherry and CareCredit are two different lenders with different plan structures, rates, and approval criteria. Neither is universally better. Which one makes more sense for you depends on the treatment amount, your preferred term length, and your credit profile. We accept both and are happy to walk you through the options side by side so you can pick what fits.
What is the minimum amount I can finance?
The minimum Cherry transaction is $200. Most patients use Cherry for larger treatment plans including implants, Invisalign, veneers, crowns, or full arch restoration where monthly payments make the most sense.
What is the maximum amount I can finance?
Approval amounts vary by patient. Many patients qualify for up to $10,000 or more. Your approved amount is based on your credit profile and is shown instantly when you apply.
What credit score do I need?
Cherry is designed to approve a wider range of credit profiles than traditional medical financing. There is no hard minimum published by Cherry, and your eligibility check does not affect your credit score, so there is no downside to checking.
Will financing affect my credit score?
The initial eligibility check is a soft pull and does not affect your credit. Once you accept a plan, on time payments can help build your credit. Missed payments can hurt it, as with any credit product.
Can I use Cherry and insurance together?
Yes. We bill your insurance first and apply any benefits to your treatment total. You finance the remaining balance through Cherry. This is the most common approach for large cases.
What if I want to pay off early?
You can pay off your Cherry balance any time with no prepayment penalty. On interest bearing plans, paying early reduces the total interest you pay. Cherry shows whether your plan carries interest before you sign.
What rate and terms will I get?
Your rate, term length, and monthly payment depend on the amount you finance and your credit profile, and Cherry shows them to you in full before you sign. Some shorter plans may carry no interest for those who qualify, while longer plans may carry an APR. Either way, you see your exact terms up front.
